Clayton received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Mary Washington. It was there that he developed a love for science and the pursuit of knowledge. As a Ph.D. student, Clayton’s research focuses on the identifying chromosomal differences in Drosophila melanogaster during meiosis. Outside of the lab, Clayton enjoys reading high fantasy books, playing TTRPGs, and bird watching. Beyond scientific research, Clayton is passionate about teaching science and mentoring others, aiming to inspire more people to explore Biology.
